Customer-facing lead responsible for the execution of marketing strategies and campaigns promoting the company’s over-the-counter (OTC) products to healthcare professionals (HCPs), driving to deliver corporate results.  Travel to attend and present at major HCP and Pharmacist conferences as well as identify new arenas for the company to have meaningful HCP dialogues.  Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Customer Service to execute and track success that ensures the company achieves short and long term financial and investment targets.  Implement the strategy and development of all HCP marketing communications on behalf of the portfolio, driving HCPs to recommend our brands to their patients.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Execute assigned HCP strategy on behalf of the portfolio, new business development, and trade show management to support sales & revenue objectives
  • Leads the HCP-facing customer interactions and focuses on understanding and informing conference attendance across brands
  • Implement and track assigned marketing communications including detailing, sampling, call center, trade show and promotional activities
  • Disseminate HCP marketing strategies and insights into defined plans and priorities, ensure timely execution, follow up analysis and continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (creative, public relations, and other agencies; chain, independent and specialty pharmacies; sales and marketing teams; and senior management) to communicate and pull through HCP strategy and tactics
  • In partnership with HCP Director develop and monitor assigned budgets, key objectives and success metrics for marketing programs and direct HCP promotion efforts
  • In partnership with HCP Director identify and evaluate new HCP segments, product positioning, competitive landscape and new product opportunities
  • Participate with sales, finance, and marketing to provide input on annual revenue goal targets and objectives
  • Contribute as an active cross-functional team member in developing brand, promotional, new product and general go-to-market strategies and tactics
  • Visit retail environments regularly to understand product placement and competition
  • Maximize use of business information tools like SEWP, POS, IRI and other resources
  • Travel 50% plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; healthcare or science background is preferred
  • 2+ years prior experience working with/calling on health care professionals (HCPs)
  • Experience in marketing and sales in the consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical devices industry with a proven track record in successfully developing and executing professional marketing strategies
  • Experience in the OTC drug or pharmaceutical industry working on FDA-regulated products
  • Excellent understanding of how medical offices work re: sampling, referrals, gatekeepers, etc.
  • Experience planning & participating in trade shows and conferences
  • Proven ability to develop & communicate the HCP outreach strategy, plans & materials
  • Brand management experience and/or syndicated research background a plus
