Responsible for all strategies and tactics which impact health care professionals experience with relevant brands, driving to deliver marketing contribution and overall corporate results.  Lead the development of HCP marketing materials and implement programs on behalf of the portfolio, driving HCPs to recommend our brands to their patients, while ensuring alignment with consumer and trade initiatives.

Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Lead, manage and collaborate with marketing team on the HCP marketing strategy; create marketing goals and objectives; identify which HCPs to target; develop HCP focused brand value proposition; develop and execute HCP tactical plan; determine how to best reach targeted HCPs
  • Inform development of appropriate relevant communications – professional advertising, personal and non-personal outreach; collaborate to ensure cohesiveness of HCP and consumer communications
  • Partner cross functionally with Operations, Sales, Call Center, Finance, Legal and RAQA to continuously develop and manage projects, financial forecasts, regulatory and legal compliance
  • Identify influential Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for assigned categories; develop relationships to advise Insight on marketing programs, claims, and pipeline development; identify KOLs that would be willing to serve as spokespeople, collaborators and advocates for relevant brands
  • Disseminate HCP marketing strategies and insights into defined plans and priorities, ensure timely execution, follow up analysis and continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to communicate and pull through assigned HCP strategy and tactics
  • Develop and monitor assigned budgets, key objectives and success metrics for marketing programs and HCP promotion efforts
  • Continuously monitor and measure quarterly and evaluate the success of HCP marketing programs using such metrics as professional recommendations, coupon activity, awareness, engagement and ROI
  • Partner with external agency partners and third-party vendors to ensure all tactics meet the strategic priorities of the brands
  • Contribute as an active cross-functional team member related to marketing planning and programs
  • Participate with marketing team to provide input on annual revenue goal targets and objectives
  • Visit retail environments regularly to understand product placement and competition
  • Strengthen and maintain a can-do, goal-oriented, entrepreneurial environment that stresses employee performance, accountability, teamwork, and success; increase organizational knowledge of the healthcare environment and best in class healthcare marketing
  • Travel as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry marketing to HCPs/calling on HCPs and/or experience managing HCP accounts at an agency
  • Experience in marketing and/or sales in the consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical devices industry with a proven track record in successfully developing and executing professional marketing strategies
  • Significant knowledge of healthcare industry and regulatory issues impacting the industry
  • Proven ability to develop, communicate and lead HCP outreach strategy, plans and materials
  • Excellent understanding of how medical offices work re: sampling, referrals, gatekeepers, etc.
